SHIFTING WITH THE TIDES ON TYBEE

A STORY IN PICTURES:
​1. This Key West artist went to Tybee Island to paint the adorable island cottages that everywhere on Tybee. (You know, the ones that make you go, “Awww! Super Cute!) ⬇️

2. Took long daily walks and rambles through the town and beautiful low country marshes. Fell in love with the coastal Georgia landscape. ⬇️ 

3. Painted that landscape on site (plein air) and in the outdoor studio I set up, and on the kitchen table.⬇️⬇️⬇️

I rediscovered Bob Ross as I painted in the early morning.

4. Had fun exploring the beach and town on Sunday when my son and his family spent the day with me. ⬇️

5. Final thoughts:

• What a great place to vacation. There’s a beautiful wide beach with gorgeous natural dunes.​
• The marsh on the backside of the island is perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset.
• The cottages and homes are all on streets and lanes that are shady and feel cozy and laid back.
• And at its heart 💜 it’s a beach town. Bare feet and sandy toes. 
  
• I look forward to going back.
