Summer show at the Studios of Key West

 Every June The Studios of Key West has a show for their members called
Mango Madness. They encourage their members to create pieces of art in various mediums based on the beautiful, delicious, juicy, Goddess of All Tropical Fruits, the mango.  The simple reason for this is that June is the start of Mango season here in Key West.  And we look forward to it all year.

​Normally I don't like shows that have a theme.  I get why galleries do them.  It makes the show easier to hang and look better.  And it's a better experience for the viewer.

​But the mango theme is one I can very easily embrace.

​Above is my entry for this year's show.  The show is up the entire month of June, 2017.  If you are in Key West, I encourage you to stop by.

Ready-Set-Paint: reboot your painting practice
​in 5 days

Each year I hear from students who don't paint after they leave my classes and find it hard to get back into their painting groove.  So I have create a 5 day on-line series of action steps to help them with that.  This short, sweet, and simple class reconnects you to your painting desire.  This is not a how to paint class, but a get back to painting class.
