Decorative ceramic flip flops

My decorative flip flops are meant to hang on the wall, but they look so real if they were setting on your porch outside your front door you would never know they are made of clay.  I make a ladies size, a childs size and an ornament size.  The ladies and children's are sold in pairs.  The ornament is sold singly and it hangs by a string.

People are always asking me how I came up with the idea of making ceramic flip flops.  When I was in my studio in the Blue Heaven building I was doing a lot of painting.  One of the paintings I had an idea for but never did was of a pile of flip flops.  I wanted the painting to be really big.  Before I could get started on the painting I decided to try and make some out of clay.  I had such a great time making them that the idea of the painting fell by the wayside.

I am always adding new design motifs to the flip flop collection.  Current designs include; plam trees, fish, crabs, turtles, sail boats, flamingos, martinis, margaritas, hibiscus and dolphins.  I am probably forgetting something.
