F.Y.I.
Before I came to Key West I lived in Tucson AZ.
I was very fortunate to grow up in the small town of Metuchen, New Jersey. I went to the University of Arizona in Tucson to study anthropology and ended up a potter. I have had the great fortune to know many wonderful artists who have helped and influenced me here in Key West and in Tucson. I have been in Key West since 1985. My home and studio are are on beautiful Lower Sugarloaf Key. I am a partner in 7 Artists Key West which is a wonderful gallery showing only local art.

Here is one of my newest and most popular items. "Beach House Rules" Like my other inspirational plaques it gives you something pleasant to reflect upon. Unlike my other plaques this is handpainted acrylic on canvas. Each one slightly different, but the rules are all the same. They are on gallery wrapped canvas and painted around the sides.

I came to Key West in 1985 and set up a small pottery and painting studio in the Blue Heaven building on the corner of Thomas and Petronia Street in Bahama Village. It was so small (How small was it?) I called it Dragonfly - A Tiny Art Studio. These days the Blue Heaven restaurant uses it as wine storage. My studio rent was $75.00 a month. Those were the days. After the restaurant moved in and became a booming business and the neighborhood began to upscale, I was gentrified out. The studio has moved around a little and is currently on Lower Sugarloaf Key. Through all of these moves I have continued to develope my line of tropical pottery and paintings.
Please visit my blog to see new work as it is being made in the studio.
